Effective April 11, 2024, MISA National Metal Processing (MNMP) changed its corporate name to MISA Metal Processing Guanajuato, S.A. de C.V. (MMPG). The name change is following MISA’s buyout of National Material LLP’s equity interest in the joint venture in January of 2024. The buyout reflects MISA and its parent company’s commitment to grow in the Mexican steel service center industry. In addition, MISA and MISI will inject additional equity to expand MMPG’s processing capability to service MMPG’s key strategic customers. The expansion, the 3rd since the company’s formation, will expand MMPG’s floor space and add a new slitter machine capable of handling non-grain oriented electrical steel to support the Electric Vehicle Automotive Industry.
