The MISA network includes coil processing and blanking capabilities in key markets. We blank both exposed and unexposed materials to meet your needs. Plus our ability to cut metal coils in the shapes you need allows for greater finished product savings.
By laser cutting direct from coil stock, LaserCoil systems provide a fast and flexible approach to blanking that is well-suited for production environments running multiple blank profiles and mixed material types. The systems can handle coil stock up to 2.1 m wide in any length, and can process aluminum, mild steel, advanced high-strength steels, materials for surface sensitive panels as well as structural components.
Industry leading, Class 1 metal coil-fed blanking lines are at the core of MISA. Our impressive lines feature process automation including auto coil loading, in-line leveling, high pressure wash and electrostatic two-side oil reapplication, and optimal inspection capabilities to ensure the highest quality goods produced safely and efficiently for both steel and aluminum.
MISA’s impressive cut to length (CTL) lines include all the features of Conventional Blanking, with added features to produce straight cut, chevron and oscillated blanks for both steel and aluminum. The lines feature automatic coil loading, in-line leveling, high pressure wash and electrostatic dual side oil reapplication.
MISA’s array of in-house slitting capabilities allows to meet the needs of our customers for slit materials into the widths specified by the end application. The lines feature exposed/unexposed slitting, In-line leveling, and the ability to slit both steel and aluminum materials to the tightest tolerance.
MISA exclusively features an advanced offline washing line. This multipurpose re-inspection/sorting line supports both exposed and unexposed blank processing. Furthermore, this line can process all blanks that are produced with any MISA production line, including either straight or configured blanks.
For maximum efficiency, MISA offer both rail and truck receiving using overhead cranes with capacities of up to 90,000 lbs. All coils are inspected upon receipt and added to our online inventory management system. We use handheld scanners to receive and inspect materials and automatically update our production inventory system. This also automatically updates in real-time with full EDI capabilities.
With over 1.7million square feet of inventory space across 8 facilities in North America. MISA has the ability to store 10’s of thousands of tons of material ahead of processing, as well as JIT finished goods inventory (Master Coil, Slit Coil (horizontal or vertical), First Operation Blanks (metal or wood pallets)). MISA’s inventory control and JIT delivery is second to none in the industry.
MISA maintains clean, climate-controlled warehouse environments to protect the integrity of the materials stored there. We provide electronic inventory control while your material is in our warehouses to monitor location, aging, and conformity.
MISA North American facilities has the ability to not only ship JIT material with a customer preferred carrier, we can also provide logistics help, up to and including direct delivery of coil or blank products using MISA logistics team.
Our facility offers web based up to the minute inventory which allows our customers to be the driving force behind their material releases. Our crane and fork truck load and unload capabilities ensure that our customers material can be loaded for safe, reliable transportation. We work hard to get your material to you on time, every time. The release, shipping and last-look inspection processes are electronic systems with built-in error-proofing to ensure accuracy, consistency, on-time shipments, and dependable communication to our customers. These systems provide real-time material tracking in our online inventory monitoring system and ensure immediate ASN transmission to our customers upon material shipments.
