MISA Metal Fabricating (MMF), Louisville KY was honored to be the first recipient of Nucor’s clean energy supply chain initiative delivering steel plate from Nucor Brandenburg via PGT Trucking/Nikola’s Class 8 BEV truck. MISA is also focused to expand our efforts towards a carbon neutral position working in conjunction with local universities to help lower carbon emissions within each MISA facility. Current initiatives include solar panel installation at MISA National Metal Processing, Queretaro, Mexico. MISA is also expanding the usage of battery powered fork trucks at several facilities throughout North America as part of an ongoing process in our efforts to become carbon neutral. MISA highlights our focus for our processing facilities by conducting semiannual meetings with all locations to promote carbon neutral collaborative activities and benchmarking safety and quality initiatives.
