DESCRIPTION:
Marubeni-Itochu Steel America (MISA) is part of a global team trading in a wide range of steel products. The MISA Corporate Planning team is currently seeking a Corporate Planning Manager in our New York City, NY or Houston, TX office.

This position will provide research, analysis, planning, and development of M&A strategies; and assist in their execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner with Corporate Planning and Investment Team in research and analysis of potential acquisition targets.
• Compile market summaries and information on targeted industries, market segments and companies.
• Develop financial analyses, including pro forma combination models, accretion/dilution analysis, views of transaction synergies and synergy achievement costs, and various valuation analysis including discounted cash flows.
• Provide strategic analysis relating to existing business and support existing businesses in their growth and M&A strategies.
• Prepare presentations for an executive audience outlining the investment opportunity, including its strategic fit, financial return, and risk profile.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external due diligence resources to assess potential investment opportunities.
• Other Ad Hoc Management projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
3-5 years’ demonstrated work experience working in Corporate Finance (HQ). Financial modeling skills, industry and business analysis skills, and direct experience with M&As required. Excellent business diagnostic, analytical and logical skills. Strong oral and written communication skills, with exceptional business logic are necessary. Ability to relate and work with peers, staff at the senior levels. Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to tackle complex business issues, facilitate ideas, build consensus. Strong planning and organizational skills. Self-motivated. Ability to work unsupervised with attention to detail.
Excellent Microsoft (Excel, Words, PowerPoint) skills.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
MBA in Finance and CPA desirable.

BASE SALARY:
$115,000 - $130,000
*Base compensation commensurate with experience and the location
