Marubeni-Itochu Steel America (MISA) is part of a global team trading in a wide range of steel products. MISA Risk Management team is currently seeking a Financial Credit Analyst in our Houston, TX office.



Responsibilities include






ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Conducting professional level of trade risk assessment of customers and suppliers by continuous financial and payment trend analysis focusing on North & South American market
•Monitoring MISA’s business operation from risk management perspective and managing credit operation, insurance, and commercial legal matters. Oversee department level Credit Administrative activities such as credit application process including data base management, organizing & maintaining documents, generating and providing ad hoc reports etc. in compliance with MISA’s Risk Management policies and procedures
•Closely work with team to manage the operation of risk management functions in MISA’s Sales Division, including subsidiaries
•Closely work with team on the establishment of credit related policies & day-to-day credit controls, analysis, decision-making, and reporting
•Coordinate and assist with necessary security arrangements & its maintenance, reviewing
•Providing advice for commercial contracts & business arrangement with help of legal department & senior credit managers
•Other duties as assigned






KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Solid intermediate level of financial knowledge & analytic skills are required
Experience in financial analysis or credit and risk management are strongly preferred
Basic commercial legal knowledge & understanding in Steel industry would be a plus
Strong communication & interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, technical & computer literacy required






EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and over 6 years’ experience






Salary: $80,000 - $110,000






Compensation is commensurate with experience
