We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager for our Detroit office. Responsibilities include maintaining MRP program to establish appropriate orders for raw materials, optimizing quantity and timing. Monitor customer forecasts and supplier deliveries to identify potential supply gaps and proactively coordinate necessary actions to maintain supply chain integrity. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements, expediting or delaying mill shipments or processing as needed. Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with program specifications. Manage claims and complaints, including negotiation of equitable outcomes between mills, processors, carriers and insurance providers. Communicate thoroughly and effectively with customers, suppliers and cross functionally within the organization.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years supply chain management or relevant experience. Ability to analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and develop/implement appropriate strategies. Ability to communicate effectively both inside and outside the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and computer literacy are a must.
