September 2017 – Marubeni-Itochu Steel America Inc. and its parent company, Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. have donated $20,000 U.S. dollars to the American Red Cross to assist in the efforts to help victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. In addition, MISA has donated $5,000 U.S. dollars to the American Red Cross to assist in the efforts to help the victims of the earthquake in Mexico City on September 19, 2017. These contributions are in addition to donations made directly by our subsidiaries or our employees. Some of our employees’ contributions included volunteering and helping those affected by these disasters. This is part of our organization’s pledge to be a good Corporate Citizen by supporting the communities we do business in and our employees live in.
