Mr. Toshio (Tony) Namiki was named President and CEO of Marubeni-Itochu Steel America Inc. (MISA) and General Manager for the Americas in April 2023.

This is Mr. Namiki’s second assignment in the Americas. Previously, he was the General Manager of MISA’s Chicago branch from 2005 until 2011.

Prior to joining MISA, Mr. Namiki served as the head of Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. (MISI) Corporate Planning Division, where he assumed various leadership positions until his last assignment as General Manager of MISI’s Corporate Planning Department.

Mr. Namiki’s career started in 1993 when he joined ITOCHU Corporation. After ITOCHU Corporation and Marubeni Corporation merged their metal divisions to form MISA’s parent company, Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc., in 2001, Mr. Namiki assumed various sales positions in MISI’s Specialty Steel and Wire Rods Division in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan until 2005.

Mr. Namiki earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Tokyo University.
